The WNH trace heater is used for freeze prevention and temperature maintenance on vessels, pipes, valves, etc. It may be immersed in fluids. For use in aggressive en[1]vironments (e.g. in chemical or petrochemical industry), the trace heater is coated with a special chemically resistant outer jacket (fluoropolymer).
1.Are you factory?
Yes, we are factory, all customers are more than welcome to visit our factory .
2.What are the available product certifications?
We have certifications such as: ATEX, CE, CNEX. IS014001, OHSAS18001,SIRA, DCI. Etc
3.How hot does self-regulating heat tape get?
Standard-temperature self-regulating cable ranges up to 150°F.
4.When should I turn my heat tape on?
Self-regulated heat tapes don't get very hot at all which is why they aren't helpful to unfreeze pipes. In fact, they should be installed on your pipes long before the first freeze. The new self-regulated heat tapes will turn on when the temperature gets below 40 to 38 degrees.
5.Does heat trace need to be insulated?
If you can see the pipe at any point it MUST be insulated. Wind-chill and extreme cold ambient temperatures are the main factors that lead to heat loss, causing your pipe to freeze even when protected by heat trace. ... Being in a boxed enclosure or big-o drain pipe is not enough protection, it must be insulated.
