Immersion heaters are particularly useful in marine and military operation since there are many instances in a ship that requires quick heat generation. For example, a high demand of hot water is required for both cleaning and drinking. Sanitization is very important to prevent disease outbreak in the ship and hot water is the cheapest way to sterilize unwanted biological organisms. An approximately temperature of 77°C is sufficient to disinfect ship equipments such as empty vessels and tanks. WATTCO™ offers a great numbers of marine heaters to provide the precise heat for marine application.
A flanged electric marine heater can be used to warm the temperature of the potable water supply tank. This is generally done by inserting the immersion marine heater into the water tank reservoir (Figure 1). Other than water application, flanged heaters can also be used to preheating different liquids, for example, such as oil tank for ship transportation.

Circulation heater
Circulation heaters are mounted within a thermally insulated vessel through which liquid or gas passes. The contents are heated as they flow past the heating element, making circulation heaters ideal for water heating, freeze protection, heat transfer oil heating, and more.
Circulation heaters are powerful, electric in-line heaters constructed of a screw plug or flange-mounted tubular heater assembly installed into a mating tank or vessel. Non-pressurized or highly pressurized fluids can be heated very effectively using direct circulation heating.

Immersion heater
An immersion heater heats water directly inside it. Here, there is a heating element immersed in the water, and a strong electric current is passed through it which causes it to heat the water in contact with it.
An immersion heater is an electric water heater that sits inside a hot-water cylinder. It acts a bit like a kettle, using an electric resistance heater (which looks like a metal loop or coil) to heat the surrounding water.
WNH’s immersion heaters are designed primarily for direct immersion in liquids such as water, oils, solvents and process solutions, molten materials as well as air and gases. By generating all the heat within the liquid or process, these heaters are virtually 100 percent energy efficient. These versatile heaters can also be formed and shaped into various geometries for radiant heating and contact surface heating applications. -
